Frequently Asked Questions
Wondering some stuff? I'm happy to help!
Here's some common questions people have about my grad sessions:
Q: Who are you?
A: I'm Zack, a local Acadia alumni! I finished my undergrad in 2020 and currently live in Wolfville, doing photography full-time. When I'm not working I love playing guitar, exploring other parts of the province, and going on adventures with friends.

Q: Why should I book with you?
A: Because I'll make you look SO GOOD. In all seriousness, I love what I do and I'll make sure you have the best grad photo experience possible. You worked hard to earn your degree, let me help you celebrate by making some memories that will last forever! I also know that having your photo taken isn't always the most fun thing, but my past clients can attest to the fact that I make it as comfortable, easy, and fun as possible! Practical things like your own online gallery where you can view/download photos, doing the sessions on campus in your favourite locations, and à-la-carte print ordering set me apart from other photographers!

Q: How do I book?
A: Press the "I want to book" button, fill in the form, and I'll contact you! If I have a waitlist going I'll let you know once your name is next and we can talk scheduling.

Q: When do you do grad sessions?
A: All year long and most days and times of the week! I'm a full-time student myself so I take limited bookings each month, but I do shoots during the week and on weekends. I'll usually put things on hold during the coldest days in winter but the KCIC greenhouse makes for a great spot if you only want one location!

Q: How long does a session take, and how much does it cost?
A: If you press the button you'll find a breakdown of my packages and what specifically they include. Sessions take 30-90 minutes with prices ranging from $275-$500 (the "standard" is $350).

Q: I want grad photos with my friends, how does that work?
A: Easy! You each buy your own session but we'll schedule them in a block back-to-back. We'll go as a group to the locations of your choosing and alternate between individual and squad pics! (For grad 2022/2023 I have added a "group" session which can be split between 3-4 people - details on the booking page)

Q: Do you provide the cap and gown?
A: No, but the Acadia Bookstore can rent you one for a $20 cash deposit which they refund afterwards! (Subject to change based on their availability/policies - make sure you give them at least one day notice and pick it up before we meet for the session)

Q: Can I print my own photos?
A: I will sell a print release at an additional cost but as a standard, no, you must print through me and my lab. Why? While your session may take an hour, I'll spend 4-5+ hours editing your photos individually and making changes to the lighting and colour, giving them the crisp and colourful look my clients love. Printing anywhere other than a professional lab can distort colours and contrast and make your beautiful photos less beautiful. Printing through me ensures you have my high-standard of quality through the entire process: from getting them taken to putting them in a frame.

Q: How much do your prints cost?
A: My standard print pricing is as follows - 4x5's are $5 / 5x7's are $8 / 8x10's are $18 / 11x14's are $30 / Wallet prints (group of 4) are $9. The lab I work with can also do custom sizing, foam-core mounting, laminating, canvas wraps - you name it!

Q: Do you do more than just grad photography?
A: Yes! I've been specifically focusing on couples photography recently but I'm happy to do photos of you and your friends or family photos. Check out more of my work on my Instagram and message me if you have any questions!
